Long term residential care
Each prospective resident of a Bartra Healthcare nursing home will receive a comprehensive assessment of their needs undertaken by our professional and experienced Care Team.
If long term residential care is seen as being the best option for an individual, following consultation with the resident and their family, then a plan is put in place to ensure that the transition into our nursing home is relaxed, informed and stress-free.
Dementia/Alzheimers Care
If a resident is diagnosed as having a dementia of some kind, then every effort is made to ensure that their environment is suitable and that staff are aware of the resident’s own abilities and the level of care required. Great care is taken to reduce the confusion and frustration that may be experienced by a resident with dementia on their initial admission to the nursing home.
Convalescent Care
Rehabilitation and confidence-building are the keystones of our post-operative convalescent programme. Clients have access to all the necessary equipment and expertise to ensure that they have a speedy recovery and the wherewithall to return home and resume life as before.
Respite Care
We at Bartra Healthcare are acutely aware of the care being provided at home by relatives and friends of older people. We are happy to work with carers to provide respite care when it is required. Visiting our nursing homes before coming for respite care is always encouraged to ensure familiarity.
Palliative Care
When the care needs of a resident change, at Bartra we can provide sympathetic and comprehensive“end of life’ care. Members of our Care Teams have specific training in Palliative Care which enables them to manage the care for both resident and family members during this very difficult time.
